Facing the Fortress of Poggio Imperiale, beyond the valley, where the Staggia flows its tortuous course, on a hill covered with ancient oak trees towers the Castle of Strozzavolpe, a superb romanesque military construction, now an inviting haven of peace and quiet. Podere Poggiarello, a few hundred metres away from this magnificent scenario and its buildings, was the residence of the bailiff and dates back to the XVII century. From the top of the house one can admire the beauty of the Val d'Elsa with the fascinating towers of San Gimignano in the background. Siena is only 30 km away, Florence 45 km, San Gimignano 15 km and Volterra 35 km. The village of Poggibonsi with shops and services of all kinds is only 3 km away.

Podere Poggiarello is made up of a principal house where the owner lives on the ground floor, and of a charming annex obtained from the renovation of the old barn.
